TNNK X T.M.REVOLUTION AT OTAKUTHON 2019

Takanori Nishikawa (西川 貴教) is a Japanese musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and voice artist.

He performs under the stage name T.M.Revolution (TMR), which stands for “Takanori Makes Revolution” (貴教が革命を起こす Takanori ga kakumei o okosu), stemming from the famous ’80s pop electronic band TM Network. Born September 19th, 1970 in Shiga prefecture, Takanori Nishikawa debuted in May 1996, with the song “Dokusai –monopolize-“, as T.M.Revolution, his solo project. Later that year, his third single “Heart of Sword (Yoake Mae)” (HEART OF SWORD ~夜明け前~) was used as the third ending song for the anime series Rurouni Kenshin, further expanding his fan base. He also contributed multiple songs to the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. Nishikawa has guest starred as a minor character in each of those anime series that featured his songs. In 2010, his single “Save the One, Save the All” was used as the ending theme song for the movie Bleach: Hell Verse.

He has established his reputation with his catchy tracks, polished and fascinating concerts, and overwhelming live performances, while he consecutively released monstrous hits such as “HIGH PRESSURE”, “HOT LIMIT”, “WHITE BREATH”, and “INVOKE”.

Since his debut, T.M.R. has built a global fan base and reputation among Anime fans for his contributions to ending and opening themes to many notable anime and game series.

Takanori is also the lead singer to Japanese rock band abingdon boys school. Formed in 2005, the band shares a name with the British independent school Abingdon School, in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, the all-male school where the rock band Radiohead was established. The band has become a notable name among the Anime fans world wide for their contributions to the genera. All of the band’s singles are songs that have been used in anime and video games.

He has also done a few supporting voice acting roles in series like Rurouni Kenshin as Orochi no Ren, B-Project: Kodou*Ambitious as Takanori Nishiyama,  Mobile Suit Gundam SEED as Miguel Aiman,  Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny as Heine Westenfluss, Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers as Silver Samurai, Sengoku Basara: Judge End as Tadatsugu Sakai, Thunderbolt Fantasy: Sword Seekers 2 as Làng Wú Yaó, and Thunderbolt Fantasy: The Sword of Life and Death as Làng Wú Yaó.

In 2018 he established his musical career anew as Takanori Nishikawa. Recently on March 6, 2019 Nishikawa released the album Singularity, which includes “Be Affected”, his collaboration with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, the Hiroyuki Sawano-produced tracks “His/Story” and “Roll The Dice”, and the digital single “UNBROKEN” feat. Tomoyasu Hotei, which will be used as the theme for the live action film, Million Arthur vs. Touken Ranbu the Movie. He constantly challenges himself with new projects to the delight of his fans everywhere.

Takanori Nishikawa (TMR) will be appearing at Otakuthon 2019! This will be TMR’s first appearance in Canada! Concert will be held in Room 210. Tickets are $30 with a convention admission. This concert booking is in association with J-rock North Promotions Inc. and Sony Music Entertainment Inc.

FAKY AT OTAKUTHON 2019

Pretending to be fake is going to be extremely real!

Since the group formed in 2013, their videos have been released on YouTube and accessed in over 120 countries. They have also attracted domestic and international attention, reaching over 7 million views. The members of Faky are from diverse backgrounds, but they have come together in Tokyo to make not just J-POP music, but a broad musicality combined with a mainstream sound. Five personalities giving you alternative girl pop from Tokyo!

Their music has also been featured in popular anime such as Black Clover (ED4), Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate-Hen, and Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue.

FAKY will be performing in Canada for the first time at Otakuthon on Friday August 16th, 2019. Concert will be held in Room 210. Tickets are $20 with a convention admission. This concert is in association with J-rock North Promotions Inc. and Avex Management Inc.

WASUTA: THE WORLD STANDARD AT ANIME NORTH 2019

Wa–suta: The World Standard, stylized as Wa–suta (わーすた), is a five-member Japanese idol group formed by Avex Trax in 2015 on March 29, 2015, as iDOL Street’s fourth idol group. The group’s image is described as a digital age idol generation that works towards the world to spread “kawaii japan idol” culture using social media and “real idol” activities. The five members of Wasuta are Hazuki, Nanase, Miri, Ririka, and Ruka.


Wasuta has been active worldwide from Asia to Europe, including Japan Expo Paris 2017, Japan Weekend Madrid 2018, Japan Expo Thailand 2017, 2018, 2019, and Kizuna 2018 in Vietnam. In summer 2018, they collaborated with Adexe & Nau on a Japanese/Spanish remix of the single “Yo Quiero Vivir,” which has scored over 2 million views on YouTube.


Wasuta will be performing in Canada for the first time at Anime North 2019 on Saturday May 25th at Anime North 2018 in Hall C. This concert is in association with J-rock North Promotions Inc. and Avex Management Inc.
